Had a lovely present from Poppy (Hubby) for Mother's day - a day at the local spa. Includes a choice of a massage or a facial and the use of the spa facilities. Ah I can see a relaxing few hours ahead sometime in the next few weeks..
My miserable mood was still present a bit this morning, but I managed to get myself out of it pretty quickly thank goodness. Had lunch out with my family which was lovely, apart from my hubby not being able to be there as he was nights last night. Poppy ate loads and made everyone laugh with her eating, don't think many people have seen a baby who eats everything with their hands.
Just watching Jo Frost Extreme Parenting from last week. There's one RIDICULOUS teenager - 13 - who is allowed to dress up like a ho and try to get into clubs. THIRTEEN. Don't think I even knew about nightclubs when I was that age. The outfits she's got are practically non-existent! I somehow don't think Poppy will be going down that route. Her Daddy already jokes about making sure all his colleagues know what she looks like in case she sneaks out to town.
Viewed the Water Babies photo's today after lunch. Was disappointed really, was expecting to have the perfect photo a la the promotional shots off the website, and to have loads to choose from. We only had 5 and of those 3 had her with one hand out of shot, and the one's with her central in the shot she had a face like she was shitting herself! We did manage to decide on one to have a 20x16 of though, and to get the 6x4 proofs for free there was a minimum £200 order, so also chose two to have as 10x8 of which we had one free. Thank goodness we had some money towards it from xmas we had as gifts for her.

Fun day had by all
Lots of fun in Funsters had by adults and children alike. Poppy ate sausage and chips off the kids menu, cheesy garlic bread, a bit of Daddy's burger...anything she could get her hands on really!
Water Babies was ace this afternoon. Poppy actually was a bit clingy for me - amazing as she's so not an affectionate baby - and was really good at holding onto the side and coming into the water from poolside. I'm glad we're continuing next term too now that I can really see the progression in her. Got her underwater photo shoot next sunday, Mum is coming with me, in Cardiff so a little drive away. Then have to wait 3 weeks to view them, agonising!! Then who knows how long until we get the actual pictures, my friend waited 3 months but there was problems with her order.
Ok off to eat my lovely dinner with our guests.

Good end to the day
Ended up after a day of whinging that our visitors arrived and distracted Poppy enough to take the pressure off. She had leftover tinned spaghetti from her cousin's dinner, the first time for her, and seemed to like it by the squidgy handfuls she managed to get into her mouth.
Back to Funsters tomorrow morning with all the kids, should be great fun. Poppy and I have to sneak off after lunch for Water Babies class - can't mention it as her cousin (3.5 years old) will want to come too but get in the water with her - and need to get in our practice for the underwater photograph next weekend. Exciting stuff!
OH MY GOD I ALMOST FORGOT - POPPY STARTED CRAWLING TODAY!!!! Arrgh! Downhill from here for my poor dogs, that's the reason she managed to get moving as she really, really wants to pull their tails. Hope they soon learn to just hide upstairs else my life will be very stressful as they're not the most tolerant of animals...

First drunken post
Had a good time out with a few work mates having a meal and a bottle of wine. You know that slightly cringe-worthy moment when you order a bottle and the barman asks "how many glasses?" And you reply "one thanks..." That was me. But it was so worth it. And then my fab brother came to pick me up so i didnt have to taxi it (Daddy at home with Poppy obv) despite his gf being ill at home. And then went upstairs to check on Poppy and she looks SO cute having fallen asleep on her side with one arm flung casually over her face. God I love her so much. I admit mostly when she looks cute sleeping, but sometimes when she's awake too...only joking..
She ate all her dinner tonight for Daddy without a fuss too after a pretty much fuss-free luch. Are we on the up and up with her eating? Will keep you posted.
Had a good Water Babies class too, Poppy was very excited and talking to anyone who looked her way, adult or baby. Even the instructor commented how lively she was today! It's such a joy being with her when she is so contented and happy. Long live Happy Popppy.
